We recently supplied two TL600 Liner Tanks to a rural property in Drillham, in Queensland’s Western Downs region. Each 600KL tank is now used for stock water at different points on the property, increasing their on-site capacity to 1.2ML. The customer specifically chose Southern Cross for our tank quality, having had a positive experience with our products previously. Unlike other options, our liner tanks offer superior durability and require less ongoing maintenance – a major benefit in remote and demanding conditions.
Supporting Remote Communities with Elevated Water Storage
In many parts of rural and remote Australia, water pressure and emergency supply are critical challenges – especially where infrastructure is limited. That’s where our galvanised steel tank stands come into play.
Our tank stands are designed to provide gravity-fed water pressure and emergency backup in places where pumps can fail or power isn’t always reliable. Recently, we supplied a 3m GY Tank Stand to the Gillen Bore South Homeland, about 80km north of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. One of approximately 600 homelands in the NT, this community uses the elevated tank to ensure water pressure is maintained for the main house and to provide backup supply during emergencies like bushfires or system outages.
Every stand is built tough, hot-dip galvanised for corrosion resistance and long-term use with minimum maintenance required. With standard heights up to 15m and custom options available up to 30m, our stands are suitable for everything from domestic use to large-scale industrial applications.
